Saint Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

2022 vintage. Strange nose, lean, drying finish. I guess this is another victim of Diam corks.

Tight still. Nice nose. Better in another couple years.

Ain't no wow here. Pretty decent bouquet consisting of smoke and big fruit. This is fruit forward. Nothing but the darkest of fruits here. The raspberry based palate is nice and the oak builds character. Not bad, not great. You'll drink it one night and wake up not remembering her name.

Un bon petit Saint-Estèphe doux et rond en bouche à consommer sans modération avec de bons petits fromages.

Great wine - especially for the price.

Okay, good price, slightly disjointed, red and black fruits, a little pyrazine.

Ruby , with a ruby pink rim . Slightly cooler , tobacco , grafite edged Summer fruits, with red cherry and spicy blackberry, cassis . Blackcurrant , spicy red cherry , some grafite , tobacco hints . A little drier and more linear on the palate than the Lalande Borie , but also shorter and a little less complex on the medium minus finish . Drink now and over the next 5-8 years .

Heavy, dry. Plums at first, licorice at the end. Lots of tannins. Serve with something beefy. 1 hour+ in the decanter first.

Rich nose of dark fruits, stone, and baking spices. Little tart with some grippy tannins, and a hint of vanilla on the finish. Lovely this. Not OMG, but nice.
