Popped and poured; enjoyed after dinner. The 2003 pours a beautiful amber color with and transparent core; medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of honey, dried apricots, marmalade, marzipan, and candied nuts. On the palate, the wine is sweet with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose along with some tropical fruits: passion fruit and pineapple. The finish is long and decadent. Unctuous and a lovely way to capstone a meal. Drink now through 2053+

Gorgeous. Burnt honey, dried apricot, smoked balsa wood, warm gravel. Full and rich, but actually not that sweet in the mouth. Great balance and a touch of bitter on the finish. So pleasurable.

Apricot, orange, rum raisin and spice cake. Went great with Jinny’s pecan bars

2008 vintage. Overt phenolic bitterness in the form of over-caramelized sugar and over-toasted almonds. Comb of the honeycomb, dried apricot, bruised apple, tangerine peel, dried white fig.
