Chewy fruit. Big and plummy with iodine and herbs. Dense and packed. Young still

Very dark Ruby - amazingly dark for the age - maybe because of the hot 2003 vintage. Gorgeous nose, red and black currant, dusty, cedar - like an antique shop Barb said. Medium tannins. Medium plus length and persistence. Really enjoyed this, particularly considering the vintage. You could leave this for a few more years if you wish but I was more than happy to drink this now.

Just stunning and complete. A beautiful wine with everything in its place. Wow and yum.

What a nose. Iron, brambles, thyme. Condrieu-like acidity, plums, tobacco. This is kind of endless in complexity. Lush but really savory and supple with acidity and sweetness percent balanced. This is ridiculously good.

A classic wine that performs exactly as expected and then just pushes higher. Impeccable balance, depth and vibrancy here. Smoke, licorice, blue fruits, saddle leather, rich soil and stewed fig. Still drinking youthfully but not without a slight dash of secondary characteristics like band-aid/gym socks to remind you that this is from the Hexagon.

Met up with @Kimberly Anderson and her hunky husband Chad at Proxi in Chicago and brought a few bottles. The La Mish was youthful but very open and broad knit. A wafting bouquet of crushed rock/violets, blue and black fruits and just an amazingly seamless, powerful, texturally vibrant wine. Had an amazing time with the Anderson’s and my Pop as well :)
