After an hour or two breathing this really opened up and starts to provide. The initial mustiness seems to have blown off, replaced by some violet and dark red/blue fruit notes, topped of with eucalyptus. Dark red fruit and some smooth tannin provides medium weight but mouth coating structure before it tails off after a lengthy finish. Really a pleasant surprise tonight. Lovely stuff.

Jan 22nd, 2017Vintage 2005 - Finally this wine is giving joy, it used to be so stubborn and closed Now it has the archetypical Pauillac expression: laurel, pencil shavings, minerals, cacao, red cherries.

It makes me feel CS rich, vintaged one. Concentrated fruity taste could not be found, but elegant, it should be one of the good wine. This is the one stored by Chateau after bottling. @4600, FTobu, 171008
