Cuvée Paul Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

2020 vintage. Despite the Diam cork this is very good (Diam 10 it says). Dark red, with little evolution. A little shy in the nose, more expressive in the mouth, with good fruit and spices, covering the slightly rustic tannins. There is complexity and good length for a very good price. Biodynamically farmed. Abv. 13,5%.

Everyone knows Haut Bergey is a quality Bordeaux at a reasonable price. But if 2008 is anything to judge by, HB is under rated. If you’re looking for a classic Bordeaux with structure, solid tannins, black currant and plum is sublime.

Leas peppery, more bite aftertaste. A bit heavier for a Bordeaux.

Good value and a very acceptable everyday wine

Totally mistook the green pepper for a fault. Dried, desiccated black cherry, forest floor, and iron. Big tannins and acid.

A modern Bordeaux with few sulphites, without inputs and unfiltered. The fruit is in the spotlight without excess of breeding marks. Beautiful roundness, well balanced.

really lovely aged bordeaux. it’s on the mellow side which i really like. velvety, leathery goodness.
