Beautifully textured, with a savory - first personality centered around tobacco, olives and graphite, with a macerated cherry core. Layered and harmonious. Stupid value at < €20

Delicious once it had a chance to open up. Took two hours or so. Cherry and smoke and a touch of leather through the finish. It feels classy. Texturally just so appealing. The 2014 Haut Bailly is a treat.

The 2014 Haut-Bailly has a sophisticated bouquet with cedar and gravel-infused red berry fruit, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite supple tannins that manage to form a firm frame that should see this repay cellaring. There is plenty of attractive, lightly spice red and black fruit, segueing into clove and black olive notes towards the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2018)

I love this property but this wine is closed and not showing well tonight. Perhaps, a dumb phase. I know this wine will shine in years to come. They're simply better producers than this is showing. Simply blackberries and dark cherries.

Best days are probably ahead but this drank well. Complex mix of fruit, some earthy notes Tannins are not forbidding.

Inky red orange with currants on the nose and palate. Opened up a couple of hours after uncorking with some sweet coconut shavings on top of the red fruits. Will continue to develop.

On the leaner side with some black currant and gravelly, savoury notes. Fresh, airy, with a slight whiff of green pepper.
On the palate this is light but with presence, fine & dusty tannins and beautiful juicy acidity. I was expecting a bit more on the mid palate but this has poise, precision & complexity which more than makes up for it.
Haut-Bailey rarely disappoints and this just proves it!

Champs bday wine. Took a bit of decanting and some glass work to open. Mineral, leather, dark fruit. Delicious
