Vintage 2010 | 15 y old and still fruit, always a bit sturdy - which I like - good balanced for the long haul and now drinking perfect. If all Bordeaux would be this good… paired with a beef schnitzel and red cabbage apple mint cole slaw.

Vintage 2009 | My favorite Petit Bordeaux from right bank Côtes de Bourg. Thirteen years old, brown rim. Utterly vital. Beautiful smell with red fruit (hint of cassis, red cherries) spicyness and some vannilla. Has lost its tannins but remains to have a strong backbone. Made to age and gains elegance with the years. From magnum. Paired with spaghetti porcini. Love affair with this wine 🙃

2019 vintage. Another winner from this estate. Oak is still slightly dominant at first, but decanting does miracles as these wines are build to age. Stunning complexity and length for this price range. Definitely one of the finest values in the whole of Bordeaux!.

2009 vintage. No better way than opening a bottle of aged Château Gros Moulin to show how underrated Côtes de Bourg can be. This has elegance and it has a very vibrant youthful energy. Impeccably balanced with bright red fruit, amazing freshness, subtle spices and very good length. If the mind-blowing 1970 is a good indication, this might need another 30 years. Fantastic value!

2016 vintage. Very ripe fruit, on the verge of overripeness. Seems a bit jammy compared to the excellent 2018.
