Château Grange Cochard
Morgon Côte Du Py Gamay
Deep violet. Deeply perfumed dark berry, cherry and licorice aromas are complemented by hints of succulent flowers, smoky minerals and baking spices. Appealingly sweet and expansive on the palate, offering intense, mineral-driven black raspberry, cherry cola, violet pastille and spicecake flavors that firm up on the back half. Rich yet lively as well, finishing impressively long and focused, with fine detail and harmonious tannins lending gentle closing grip. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2021)

Feb 8th, 2017One of the best Beaujolais cru I've had - burgundy like - deep and spicy. Not sure if this is typical for Cote du Py. Can't afford to quaff other Py's like this
