This bone-dry Michigan Riesling is a mineral-driven wine. Light golden in color, it has a nose of citrus peel and a wet driveway. The aromas aren't terribly complex, but as Spencer Tracy said, “What’s there is cherce.” On the palate there are flavors of lemon and lime with a chalky minerality. Acidity is almost racy, certainly zippy enough to handle a sandwich or salad. The finish is lengthy and reminiscent of an older vintage Riesling, quite nice.

What a fun value. Yea...we know. It's not upstate NY dry Riesling but it's a fun value wine that goes great with Asian food.

Classic dry Riesling, hints of petroleum, lemony citrus and minerals. Aftertaste lingers. Around here it’s hard to find dry Riesling which is always a pleasure to discover a good one.

Opening the official "first night in the new house" celebration meal we have this 4 year old dry Riesling from Chateau Grand Traverse. Color is still pale straw with a little tint of honey from the age. Nose still has pear/melon/peach with some grassy and mineraly notes. Flavor finishes dry and tart with notes of pear, green apple, and a hint of wildflower honey. Very tasty with the little bit of age and can't wait to get back up to the winery with the girlfriend.
