Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now!

Great value in this bottle - got better as we let it breath. Very distinctive - would buy again.

Sleek fruit, elegantly styled, with youthful tannins. Lacks the fabled typicity of perhaps more brooding and rustic pauillac but that wasn't really the intention.

Absolutely fantastic Millennium Prelude Grand Puy Ducasse 2000 Pauillac limited edition numbered bottles (this is 1102).
Came from a known French cellar during COVID lockdown.
Main wine for Christmas 🎄 2025 in Richmond with family, Wups and a new retriever puppy, Snowy.
Incredible claret.
