Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Dark amber color, translucent. Usual notes of a Sauternes. Great finish to a great night.

This is spectacular. Tangerine, center brûlée sugar, lifted fruit. Intense and long. Persistence for years. An amazing bottle.

dark. The color of sherry. Nutty oxidized notes and a spectacular sweet depth. Caramel and figs. Really lovely.

Matronly and elegant with honeyed mandarin aromas. Pineapple marmalade flavors with good acidity made better with age. Sipping the nectar of the gods.

Tasted blind. Dark brown gold color. Great nose with notes of creme brûlée, apricots and brown sugar. Huge in the mouth. Long finish.

Light gold brown in the glass. Piercing Sauternes nose of high pitched fruit, burnt orange peel, brown sugar, apricot and almond paste. Overpowering finish. I wrote before the 62 d'Yquem was the best Sauternes I ever had. This 59 was much better.

Like manna from heaven

This gets a 11+ rating if it was possible. The gods would be so lucky to have a sip of this. Incredible wine for Christmas. Such a light color for the age. So round and perfect. Finish that never ends. Doesn't get better.
