Spicy and steamy, filled with green bell pepper and and lifted acidity that pairs well with food.

100% Cabernet Franc from Chinon FR, this wine immediately presents as herbaceous & rustic with aromas of dried herbs, roasted bell pepper and hints black pepper. The palate is light/med bodied with smooth tannins, and does add bit of fruit with flavors of raspberry sauce but still finishes with similar rustic overtones and an imbalanced sharp acidity. An imperfect but interest pairing with reverse seared Filet mignon with red wine sauce! [8/22/23] ($20)

Funky lettuce on the nose with a long and abnormal finish. Weird.

Solid, easily identifiable Cab Franc. A little dilute for Chinon due to the vintage

Medium intensity on the nose, aromas of blackberry jam, freshly mown grass, hint of cedar Medium body but lean, concentrated. Flavors mimic the nose with a touch of graphite and wet gravel. Mouth watering acidity and gentle but firm tannins. For $19 pretty darn good.

A Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley I've always enjoyed. Light, full of life and so food friendly.

Ruby red in color. Slow tears on glass. Light bodied. Medium low acidity. Low tannin. High alcohol warmth at back of throat. Long finish. Decanted about 30 minutes. Good fresh fruit taste and overall balanced except Alcohol is a bit strong. Maybe will mellow out with more time open.
