Château de Tracy
Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc
Crips, acidic, kinda soft, not much aroma, bell pepper, passion fruit... Overall, enjoyed it...

Oct 5th, 2017Textbook old school pouilly fume. Fragrant with notes of ocean spray, stuffed shells, Islam scotch smokiness, lime pith. Strong grassy and vegetal notes. excellent depth integrating the lime, ocean water and chalk into a coherent whole. Definitely a bit on the vegetal side, but an amazing pairing to grilled fish for that reason. Not as smoky as I remember, but still a standard bearer

1 person found it helpfulJul 30th, 2017Interesting. Two nights of off-and-on companionship with an uneasy acquaintance. It has purity, but I wouldn't say mineral interest. Sauvignon fruit power, creamy roundness but feels directed rather than direct. Formidable in its way but not an easy wine to drink or love.

Oct 4th, 2016Chateau de Tracy, Pouilly-Fumé 2011, 13%. I might be a little biased because Pouilly-Fumé is one of my favorite white wine: this bottle presented excellent color and intensity. The nose was quite intense, but it lacked a bit of harmony. In the mouth it was pleasant, but it was served a little too warm and it missed some of its characteristics. Overall good, but not something I will remember for long.

Nov 9th, 2013Here’s a lovely, vibrant, crisp wine with green (apple, gooseberry) and tropical (just ripe passion fruit, mango, kiwi, cantaloupe) fruit notes next to wet stone, flint, white blossom, delicate herbaceous (boxwood), lemon peel, and grapefruit rind characteristics.
It’s 100% delicious and really hitting the spot on this hot, sunny evening.
