Château de Saint-Cosme
"Les Deux Albion" Principauté d'Orange White Rhône Blend
Oily, almost unctuous texture—rich, layer, floral, perfumed, high ABV (14%). Love it or hate it.

Jul 31st, 2020Honey, mango, banana taffy, dried pears. Very exotic nose dominated by ripe, candy-like Viognier character but saved by a nice surge of acidity on the mid palate and finish provided by Picpoul.

Feb 21st, 2019Yes it’s stonefruit, yes it’s floral, but, savage reaches of wicked time, it’s saline like Caol Ila—the honey’d richness of bandaid funk. Gorgeous, brave, & sneaky-big.

Feb 2nd, 2019Lemon curd and honey dominate the floral wine. Balance that I don’t usually see from Rhône whites.

Jan 5th, 2019Just excellent. Pear and apricot flavors. A hint of honey. Nose of apple sauce. Well balanced and super drinkable.

Dec 31st, 2018Smells like a peach orchard. Has a weight like nectar juice. A bit sweet on the sides of your tongue. Floral and youthful with a light but lovely finish that’s just a touch boozy. Like a good brunch.

Nov 24th, 2018Here's the mix: 50% Viognier; 30% Picpoul; 20% Marsanne. This is a food wine! No sipping nonsense. (Matched it with Chicken Marabella.) Lots of white flowers, surprising acidity (my guess the Picpoul), but no idea where that salinity comes from. Limestone terroir? I paid $20 for a very interesting wine. You'll have to decide if the dollar journey is worth it. With food 8.8. Otherwise 8.7.

Sep 3rd, 20182017 Feb '20 close to the end of its supposed drink window which I'd understand. Last one of these from KL to make the trip to FL. Love this wine! Great balance and delicious. Under $20. Orchard fruit, floral, weighty/concentrated but still very balanced. If I was splitting hairs I'd like a % more acidity....
Vio/mars/picpoul.

Whoa.....weighty and concentrated, hella floral, and complex. Theres something resembling acidity but it shows up on the finish and doesnt add lean, or bright qualities. WAY over delivers on the $12 price. Fun and delicious. T really dug it. Vio/mar/rou/hint of picpoul.....KL.
