Les Restanques De Pibarnon Bandol Mourvedre

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity.

Red fruits on the nose with tobacco and chocolate notes.

Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf and herbs.

Nice finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a very tasty Mourvedre based blend from Bandol. Rich and elegant, fruity and interesting. Complex and well balanced.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 70% Mourvedre and 30% Grenache, from 30 year old vines. Aged in large French oak barrels for 18 months. Unfiltered and unfined.

I agree with other reviews of this wine. Dark fruit with bright acidity and a pleasant finish. 

A bit fruity in the front and deep dark in the back. Great sipping wine. Medium bodied and easy. Lingers for a while very pleasantly.

70% Mourvedre, but got more Grenache character.
Without annoying barnyard smell on the nose, there is lovely dark fruit aroma with minerality instead, and some banana cake like finish. Firm tannin and fresh acidity.

Layers of spice and garrigue with plums and dark cherries, a bit of stems? Love it

Second wine from Pibarnon and a stunning effort. Still quite nervous but time will solve this easily. 70% Mourvedre and 30% Syrah

Tasting great now. Needs an hour of air. Earth, moss, blueberry, cherry, trees. Awesome with food.
