sweet and fleshy. beautiful shades. Southern thick wine, aromatic, generous tannins, well controlled. aromas of black fruit, prune, olive, menthol, liquorice, sweet coffee, beautiful bouquet, nice balance. we have adored.

2015. Overly funky nose day one. Cleaner on day one. Maybe needs time??

Nose: intense mix of red and black fruit, ripe.plums, figs, hint of garrigue
Palate: quite smooth tannins, not too astringent, medium body, not too complex. Good level of acidity. Good wine although quite basic/young style

(Château de Lascaux - wine tasting)

A warm, enjoyable Languedoc. Crushed flowers on nose, mid-weight on palate. What this region does best.

What a great region for wines. They have come a long way in the last 10 years. Gerard bertrand being in the forefront of wineries there

Im not as much of a fan of Syrah, to start, but this one was pretty good. Some peppery smoky finish. Some baked cherry notes too, more tannic than I really like.
