We went off grid with this wine to accompany a delicious cheese selection. Had all the CdP descriptors without being heavy - medium to full bodied. Earthy with red berries - a tarry note. Good without being very good even with the age.

Ripe and lush. Lacking interest among its peers last night.

In Grenoble with close friends of the family, so when in Rome... Check out the Comté in the background.
Beautiful soft notes of creme du cassis, with hints of menthol.
Excellent, contemporary style, which is in a perfect spot.

Paired with veal, duck, pâte, and a limited palette of French words. Oh, and frites to clean up the leftover sauce. Bon appétit.

Good age with a smell of aged olives. Very nice and complex, probably does not need a ton more time. Finish could use a touch more zing.

Great nose of crushed flowers, baked figs. Silky and saturating black fruit. Not as spicy as other vintages

Wow, what a nice big red. Silky, rich, with a hint of chocolate notes. 2004!
