While there can no doubt be some bottle variation with these Reynaud wines, when they’re on they’re on and tonight 07 Fonsalette is fantastic, flaunting all of the house signatures. Super intense layers of kirsch cherry, black raspberry, lavender, game, and sweet Rayas spices waft from the glass. The palate is searingly rich and intense but simultaneously focused in its delivery and gives way to a long, silky finale. In a great spot and a top vintage for the estate, for sure.

One of the best showings I've seen from Fonsalette blanc. Textured, waxy wine. Banana chips, marzipan, parsnip.

The nose is coconut, oyster shells, popcorn. Citrus, meyer lemon sweetish taste with plenty of acidity and lingering tart flavor. #chateaurayas

It took two hours to open up but ended beautifully. Fun to taste Rhone whites with age

2006. Rich, mid amber hue. Fabulous nose of brown spice, beeswax and lanolin. Palate shows perfect progression, adding detail and depth to the aromas; think herbed dried honey. Nice weight, and feels wet, fresh, and still full of vigor. Stays seamless right on through to the long finish. Savory and satisfying, it's a complete story of a wine from a place. It's CdR, but nothing outside of CdP that I'm aware of can even step to this.
