Seductive aromatics of ripe damson plums and black currants, with a floral accent (violets?) and some pencil shavings and green peppers. A touch of cloves, too. Quite uplifting and elegant. On the palate this shows nice tension between the great purity of fruit paired with juicy acidity and the firm tannins & earthy undertones. No greenness nor astringency so often found in Loire Cab Francs. A lovely wine.
