Some tangy orange notes and a complex yet fresh palate. Oily with white flowers, white pepper, lime and stone in the finish. Very good

Been a while since I had this. Pear, lemon blossom, honeysuckle. Delicious.

See previous notes - just an outstanding CdP white comprising 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and a few other varieties. Lovely aromatics of musk, apricot and pear. The palate is rich without being heavy - a note of mandarin. Medium minus acid. Just delicious - finding yourself reaching for another glass. Easter Sunday aperitif.

Honeysuckle, Apricot and a musky note on the nose. On the palate initially a sweet mandarin fleshy note with apricot. With time a plethora of fruits - tropical, stone fruit and citrus even ripe banana. There is a saline streak in the overall minerality. Medium minus acid. Medium plus to profound intensity. This wine has it all. Look up the word delicious in the Dictionary and you will see a photo of this CdP Blanc from Beaucastel!! A blend of 80% Roussanne; 15% Grenache Blanc and 5 % of a few other varieties including Clairette. Lucky to have 1 more bottle.

The 2016 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a stunning wine from this famed estate. Needing more than an hour decant to fully develop, this starts off with beeswax, brandy soaked pear, nutmeg, and ripe banana that impress, as the intoxicating bouquet continues to bring you back to the glass. On the palate, the unctuous mouthfeel entices the senses. Silky smooth gliding through the palate, flavors reminiscent of baked pear, marzipan, banana bread and honeydew melon move through, leading to an exceeding long and satisfying finish. The salinity and light stony character of the wine further pushes this into the upper echelon of this prestigious region in the Rhone Valley. Enjoyable now, this wine will cellar well for decades. Drink 2019-2035- 96

Stone fruit, peach/apricot, melon, big minerality, med bodied and med- acid. Great aromatics, but a but falls a bit flat on the finish. Fun to try.

Tactile and structure - coconut, salt, lemon oil, grapefruit peel even with some more feral, earthy tones. Super tight, condensed at the moment, but beaming with promise
