Intense blackberry and plum fruit with pencil shavings. Finish is lively with mineral notes; very open without being hot nor terribly gripping despite its youth.

Jan 18th, 20172010, Chateau D'Aurilhac, Haut-Medoc, Cru Bourgeois. 49 Merlot/46 Cab Sauvignon, 2.5 Petit Verdot and 2.5 Cab Franc. Well balanced and easy to drink. Not overly complex but is a good week night Bordeaux.

This is a good value from a great vintage. Forward with its ripe fruit, but enough structure to improve over the next five years.
