Palate is similar, with more blackberry, black cherry, cocoa/dark chocolate, and a chalky earthiness. Really classic merlot flavors shine around the cab franc’s structure. The 2016 is drinking well right now and has enough tannin to develop well for another 5+ years.

Nice wine. Nice price. Has the makings to improve over the next couple of years. Big wine. Lots of black fruit. Silky smooth tannins. Nice mouthfeel.

Deep ruby hue. Blackberry, plum, black currant, cedar, tobacco, dried herbs, mushrooms, compost, wet earth, dusty minerality notes. Silky tannins, well-balanced. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
