Delectable Featured Wine

Venturing to southern France's Languedoc-Rousillon seems a natural move for an effortless country meal. Brambly, feral Carignan, juicy Grenache and savory Syrah all shine in this sit-on-a-bench-and-watch-the-sunset kind of wine.

High altitude aromatics with ripe Mediterranean fruit. Mostly Carignan with Grenache and some Syrah. Rich black and blue fruit, a little jammy at first, and shows good length and finesse as the wine dries down, but the leather and garrigue aromatics are in full force at opening. Easily one of the best red wines under $15 out there.

The way wine in this price range can taste...sometimes. Deep, bramble, some dustiness, and just lovely with my steak

Medium bodied. Game, blue fruit and garrigue and leather on the nose. Fruit is a bit dull on the palette. Medium tannins.

Pleasantly surprised by how well this 2011 is hanging in there taking into consideration that this wine is supposed to be a drink-now product. Menthol, smoked teriyaki beef jerky, black olive brine, cranberry.

I liked 2013 a tad bit more, this one is a bit juicer. Still has that tapenade, truffle, raspberry, cherry, chaparral notes that have kept me coming back for years

For this money this is a steal! Delicious herbs and black fruit. So much earth. A pleasure.
