So contemporary for a Bdx. Very fruit-forward, yet complicated like a watch. For a second label, I’m impressed. Tannic and layered with allspice and loads of blueberries. Finishes energetically.

Give me lots of time and patience. Black fruits, pencil shavings leather. Midway milk choc and espresso. Eucalyptus and spice to end it.

With violet color. Oak aroma. A bit sweet nuance. Aroma includes leather with straw. A bit young, more years, it would be changed a lot. Berry rich, spicy. Tobacco. 2 hours, it changed a lot. Earthy. Concentration. Day 3 is much better, good balance with concentration. Black fruits with earthy and tobacco. 2014 @2100, Xiaduo -, 200910-201128

On PnP pretty closed and tannic, as one would expect. After 30 minutes or so notes of plums, blackberries, pine, cedar, and spices. Looking forward to circling back in an hour or so.

Edit: After relatively sufficient time interacting with air some additional notes began to surface like black truffle, dark chocolate, forest underbrush, clove, and pencil lead. The structure of the wine became more readily apparent as well, exhibiting more balance and finesse. This is a pretty nice second wine. Score up from an 89 to a 91.

2014- this is a young pup, that finally started to really show well on day3. Nice fruit, and complexity that will age easily for 10-12 years.

Had the 04 cos lastnight and went to see @Todd Abrams as they were trying the 2014 today. Very nice and drinkable right now. Good stuff @Dana Kennedy. Probably not as much fun as a swim meet😎
