Interesting French Malbec by Julien Libert, wine aged in cement. Very dark red with sweet dark fruit aromas with flinty notes. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with hints of spice. Juicy firm tannins, a tad acidic, medium length ending with a mineral character.

Super funky smell to start. Opens up with a smooth leather finish

Wow. TART.
Took another taste and, just as Joshua said, maybe my palate wasn’t ready. It wasn’t ready because even though it’s still tart and dry I’m really liking this one.

Little earthy funk on the nose. Deep purple; only 12.5 but seems lime it would be more. Needs a little time to open up. This is much more of a food wine than one to sip on its own.

This is so awful that I'm wondering if I bought a bad bottle. A strong smell & a sour taste.

From Domestique 2017 on 10/25/19. Nice barnyard — downright stinky. Lush thick syrupy

Nice bite of tannins followed by a blush of fruit, maybe a little honey, and some peppery spice. The finish is soft and lingering.

Love Cahors and this one is nice but lacks an old world quality.
