Pessac-Léognan Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc

Seems a little tight right now (yes I’m drinking it too young). But clearly all the right parts are there. Nose shows both Semillon and Sauvignon character, with lanolin s ents competing with grassy Sauvignon notes. Nice crushed stone mineral notes too. A bit of toastiness from barrel aging is apparent on the palate, with herbal and mineral flavors more prominent than the tight fruit at this point. Bone dry with nice acids. This should age well but is nice now too.

Some age and weight to this. Acidic as expected.

Blend of Sauvignon Blanc (70%) and Semillon (30%). Dark golden color. Beautiful aromas of pear, white flowers, sweet spices and freshly baked shortbread. Lively palate of unripe peach, lemon, apple, minerals and salted caramel. Medium-plus body and beautifully balanced. Creamy texture and a long and luxurious finish. Quite acidic but the Semillon gives a rounder character to the wine.

Large amounts of semillon round off the acidity. Bright clean flavors, with lush undertones.

Excellent Bordeaux white blend with medium (+) intensity of apples, grapefruit and lemon, with stone fruits. Some oak flavour, which is quite toasty with vanilla. Some tertiary development, a little honey, nutty and toffee. Very elegant, high acidity and decent finish
