A nice Bordeaux, but drinking in 2022 is too late for this wine. The tannins have mostly faded and some of the structure has collapsed. Still, a solid performer for a cru bourgeois that’s this old.

Jan 29th, 2022Well made Bordeaux, only Kermit Lynch can find it. Tasted a lot more fruit than tannins, so assume quite a bit of Merlot. Also only 12.5% alcohol, so not too dry, can taste the residual sugar.

Jul 16th, 2018Finally encountered an old world example of Bordeaux. Salty nose, pepper in the front that opens up to red fruit, roundness, and smooth finish. Also quite juicy , almost opens up too wide. Guess it's the effect of lower tannin
Just enough tannin shows how far modern Bordeaux has derailed. Im sold on the old world version!
