Nice spicy peppery savory. Confusable on the nose with a Syrah from the northern Rhône or a cooler climate. Color clearly #Gamay from #morgon

Feb 24th, 2021Kind of disappointed with this wine. First mistake was drinking it with some St Andre cheese. 🤢 Was hoping it would drink better on Day 2 but no such luck.

Oct 9th, 2017The Beaujolais you need to know! Charly Thevenet 2010 Regnie. Grain & Granit. Ridiculousness in a glass! Tart red fruits, earthy minerality. Changes as it opens. Great with grilled foods.

The palate is supremely well balanced with flavors of blueberries, red currants, with a bite of black pepper on the finish. Overall a lovely cru Beaujolais, which keeps luring you back for one more sip. It proved an excellent, albeit untraditional, pairing with jalapeño & queso fresco turkey burgers! ($33) [1/9/22]

Forest floor and game notes on a long finish. This wine shows what Cru Beaujolais is all about - five years old and it still has plenty of life for another three or four.
