On the palate, high acid, with complex wild strawberry, raspberry, lemon and red apple, butter, pastry and brioche, orange marmalade, ginger, fig, forest floor and apricot. Outstanding.

A very nice vintage champagne. A bit low on the acid, but the mid palate really expresses a ton of yeast and subtle white fruit. Beautiful aromatics as well.

Charles Heidseick 2005 vintage. Rich nose of brioche and dough, with some savoury yeast notes. Roast almonds on the palate. Slightly ox'ed? Might be faulty bottle.
