Amazingly the current release of this Champagne. Mid lemon with a fine bead. Tasted blind the complexity fooled me and I did not pick it as a Blanc de Blancs. Great depth of flavour with pronounced minerality and a lemon creaminess. A brilliant champers still with a big future. I first tried this at Heidsiecks HQ in Reims. It blew me away then and continues to do so.

This wine is positively stunning; despite 15 years aging in the cellars of Charles Heidsieck with 12 on the lees, it still gives such freshness with a spine of racy acidity next to toast, oyster shell, lemon curd, apple, blossom, and confectionery notes of brioche, meringue, marzipan, pie crust, & toasted almond.

This cuvée is always a pleasure to drink. Full, round mouthful of brioche, honey and nuts. Sooooooo goood!
