Full bodied & tight out the bottle. We decanted it for an hour and put it back in the bottle. Brought it to dinner. Just starting to come alive at this point.
Blackberry & blueberry fruits, cassis, licorice, sage. Elegance & finessed ... long finish. Hands-down the best I’ve had from this producer. Need to try the 2010 & 14 next.

A big powerhouse, but still exhibits a nice balance in its own way. Cherries, dark fruits, tar, dust, minerals. . A touch of cedar. Tannins are still rather big. I’d give it 3+ years, but getting close.

Decanted for 30 min. Deep, inky puple color. Loads of dark fruit... blackberries, blueberry, licorice, and sage. With a short decant, it is drinking beautifully now but zero rush to drink. This still has many more years left in the tank.
