Not the producer it once was however it was fun to throw this into the mix, considering the history. An outlier compared to the other whites in the line-up tonight, this had an enormous floral bouquet that made it almost unrecognizable as Chardonnay. The fruit set was there but the acid was lower and had this been served blind to me, I probably would have guessed a Northern Rhône white variety. Not a bad wine per se, however it was my least favorite of the night. Drink now.

One of original judgement of Paris wines . A very good , well balanced for the alcohol . Citrus , apples , nutty . A very nice mid palate . With a long finish .

Medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of peach and pears with citrus, smooth with a creamy texture, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit and savory nutty oaky character.

Chalk, cooked green apple and pear on the nose. Fantastic terroir, more chalk, baked apple pie and a subtle fruit driven minerality to the finish. Nice wine.

Blind, I swore up and down this couldn't be California. Ted guessed 05 Côte de Nuits. Really amazing. Thank you Bernie for pulling this out of your cellar and teaching us a bit on Monterey.
