So I've avoided the 2012 in favor of the 2013, but when Costco closes out magnums at the price of singles then I'll bite, bigly.

It's clear this isn't the superstar that is the 2013, but its approachable charm is flattering. Black currant and crème de cassis meld with cedar and creamy mocha brings it all to a gliding finish. Some secondary licorice and coffee provide depth to this easy drinker.

Thanks Dad, very nice to try.
Color: Opaque Dark Red
Nose: Lots of leather, smokey, earthiness
Palate/finish: very very strong tannins, full body, very very young
Opinion: this needs time and allot of it, ton of potential

High percentage of Malbec really gives this wine some serious depth and chocolate notes.

Plenty of floral and fruity notes, a really nice 2012. Although smooth with a medium body and low acidity. Very nice. Very round.

Sonoma bringing it. For some reason the word plush comes to mind when drinking this wine.

Happy 4th! Live free and find great wine. Dark ink. Tight. Needs time.

2012 vintage, black fruit, high acid, but ripe bright fruit on the palate, very easy drinking, was hoping for some tannic structure, but lacking
