2003 brought by a friend! First time for self. Still had life with 13 years of bottle age. Soft tannins with gorgeous fruit component. Great with boned in ribeye at Chophouse dinner with Monday night wine group. A solid 92!

Garnet red with some browning on the edges. Nose was definitely tight to start, with a couple hours of air it changes from chalky and savory to some dark berries. Kind of all mixed together. Cassis and blackberries in the attack with some earthy and vegetal undertones. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and a moderate body. Slightly furry moderate plus finish. Drink till 2019.

Must have had a nicely toasted barrel. Charred meat on the nose to start and some light dark berries. Tannins 6.5/10, furry, and moderate body. Moderate lingering tannins. Always a great overall wine. Never fails
