What a lovely surprise! Still fresh and vibrant after 15 years. A bit petrol, which blows off to display lovely citrus, floral and slated minerality notes. Drink now or cellar another 5 years. A steal for $20 at K&L.

Not great night one as it has some funk to blow off but rocked it night two. I'm getting another and if it delivers a case behind that...

Was expecting this to be a little darker color wise. Light gold in color with a pronounced nose and notes of bruised apple, fresh peach, apricot, honey, petrol and slate. Fresh. Retains a nice streak of acid for a 19 year old wine. A little sweet for my taste but still delicious. Drink now.

This was actually a bottle of the 2001 Auslese so it was a tad sweeter than the Spatlese. The wine blew off some typical Mosel petrol to start but opened up a few minutes later with a gorgeous nose of peach cobbler, tropical fruits and white flowers. Impeccably balanced on the palette with medium plus acidity and flavors of ripe Meyer lemon and white peach. 16 year old wine but tastes youthful and fresh. Have one more bottle left but might pick up a couple more.
