Prapó Barolo Nebbiolo

This 16 year old Barolo is drinking very nicely now, but still so young.

Very dry on the palate with red fruits, earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, coffee, earth, wet leaves and herbs.

Elegant and robust.

Showing mild complexity and will continue to age nicely in the 15 years.

Checking in on this wine. Still lots of primary cherries and high tone floral notes but has softened with a bit of secondary notes and menthol. Delicious.

Nice matured brick red colour. This has retained the smokiness it has had all along and it still has some fruit left, which I like.

This is coming into its own in a very special way. White truffles, balsamic reduction, sour cherry, dried roses, and compost. Stunning!

Wine doesn’t get a whole lot better than this. Roasted. Dried herbs. Roses. Leather. Classy. Dried cherries. Celebrating containment of the fires.
