You seldom manage to open any bottle at its absolute best; this was one of those exceptions. Complete balance, fruit vs silky tannins vs the right amount of acidity. Downed the bottle in minutes.

A lot of sweet, fresh fruit still intact. No tannin to speak of. It's delicious and alive, though not super complex for the aging. Acquired in Dusselorf, consumed in Valle d'Aoste, so it almost came full circle.

Dusty rose, and tar at first but then opened up more in the glass to a beautiful bright cherry and mushroom nose. Palate followed through with some deeper roses, leather, and smoked meat. Powerful acidity and tannin structure, aged very well.
