Toscana Sangiovese

Wow. Been dying to try this. Would put this up against some big houses top RdM and BdM. Med + tannins. Much more expressive on day 2.

Dried red fruit, sweaty chaps and a cowboy with that look in his eye.

The quality of Cerbaiona's Sangiovese shines through as it isn't overwhelmed by a little Merlot and Cabernet.

Kind of clunky.

Good showing for this wine, best of three bottles I've opened. At peak now, not much upside for additionAl cellaring.

Very well integrated, unlikely to evolve further but pretty damn nice now. Benefits from an hour or two in a decanter to develop a bit more complexity, but that's just icing on the cake in terms of this wines ability to deliver dusty cherry Tuscan goodness.

Just starting to turn towards the bad. Otherwise a 9.1. What a producer.
