Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese Blend

Stuck in Denver…mediocre takeout ham and pineapple pizza. Unknown wine shop.,. $25…unknown label. But the wine was much better than needed. Aromatic, med. cherry color. Sweet cherry, smoke, touch of earth. All about the mouth-feel, lively acid/sweet fruit balance. Perfect foil for tomato sauce. Should have bought two bottles! — a month ago

Cerbaiono Rosso VDT: Lush. Bold. Complex. Smooth. A bright & unique red blend of Sangiovese & Pinot Noir, showcasing layers of flavors: red fruits, herbs, tobacco & spice. Cheers to awesome wine & pizza goodness 🍕🍷 — 6 months ago

La Cerbaiola di Salvioni Giulio

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

Call me a sucker for the more rustic edge and brawn of Brunello but this is the one that caught me even though its neighbor Cerbaiona was so alluring tonight. I just want to see where the salvioni will go to. Not that this was dirty or funk just had more stuffing. — 6 years ago

It looks like we had all of the same favorites. The Salvioni was my wine of the night.
