Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2006

Beautiful drinking Brunello that is elegant & finessed with notes of cherry, plum, dried herbs, leather, spices & violets. — a month ago

Toscana Sangiovese 2012

Very dark rubi robe. Very rich but balanced nose with black fruits and spices. Great length and this incredible blend of Rhone valley and right bank Bordeaux with that Sangiovese backbone. If you love Tuscan wines with structure its fantastic to drink now, otherwise give it a few years and you’re in for a treat. Highly recommended. — a month ago

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese Blend 2009

A light but lovely Rosso from a noted Tuscan producer. Touch of brown on the rim, soft red fruit on the nose and long smooth palate with surprisingly long finish. Not for the long term, but very nice, soft wine for right now, especially for what it is. — 6 months ago

La Cerbaiola di Salvioni Giulio

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

Call me a sucker for the more rustic edge and brawn of Brunello but this is the one that caught me even though its neighbor Cerbaiona was so alluring tonight. I just want to see where the salvioni will go to. Not that this was dirty or funk just had more stuffing. — 4 years ago

It looks like we had all of the same favorites. The Salvioni was my wine of the night.
