Clos de Nit Montsant Red Blend

The joy of an upgrade on United Airlines. Lovely. Amazing value. Run, don’t walk.

Lovely label. Stars and hills catch the eye. Color of red rose petals. Maybe a tiny hint of rust. Smells a bit funky. Blood and shrub. Like the drink shrub. Flavors are nice if a bit soft. Blood oranges and tart under ripe cherry/berry stuff. Hint of wood/smoke-y stuff. Charred meats perhaps. I’d buy this again just for the pretty label, but the wine is decent. Might have been brighter and zippier earlier on. Perhaps has peaked. Popped it for a celebration of the Spanish women winning the World Cup.

Inky, big fruit bomb nose of black & red fruit mingled with some earthy elements like leather, fallen leaves, schist & loam bit of smoke, white pepper. For $12, this was fantastic. Very smooth on palate, juicy yet sturdy - not flabby. Grenache really dominating.

Very nice! 40% Garnacha, 40% Carinena, 20% Syrah

QPR king from Costco. ~$10 price of entry grants you plush bramble and cherry fruit offset by juicy acidity and some layers of earth, tobacco, cocoa wrapped with robust tannins. 40% / 25% blend of #garnacha #carinena with 20% / 10% / 5% Merlot, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, respectively, rounding out this smorgasbord Spanish red blend - it all works very well together.

A fine Montsant, served cooled, nice body and soul, ready to drink.

Bright and flavorful. Easy drinking, not too sweet or heavy.

Full bodied red that pairs nicely with everything from steak and potatoes to chocolates.

The most cherry cola wine I've had from Montsant/Priorat. Needed a serious amount of swirling but tasty AF.
