Sweet candy spices and cherries on the nose. Beauty is a drier long finish with hints of spices, minerals, and balance. Nice bday gift to wife from the Simpsons! Thanks brahs.

Apr 20th, 2014Deep garnet colour, pink around the edge. Day-bright. Medium viscosity. Colour in the droplets, but not in the lacing. Warm nose of cassis, açai, oregano, with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Feels quite hot on the nose. Surprisingly light-footed on the palate, with more flavours of pomegranate and tart cherry coming to the party. Also present: fresh herbs, tobacco, and something else I can't quite put my finger on.
Overall, I enjoyed this wine, and I like the finish, but I question whether or not I get the same pleasure out of a less expensive Minervois or the like.
