15.5% kind of put me off, but after tasting this and then going back for glass after glass you hardly notice it.

2012 vintage on 16.6.18
Aging perfectly. Tar and ripe red fruit nose. Plumbs too. Lush and light eventhough the high alcohol percentage. Tanins smoothned out nicely. Good effort.

2012 vintage on 24.12.18 from the Magnum.
Nice silky priorat. Drinking sooooo smoothly. Licorice, dark red fruit. Leather. Tannins still there. Drink or hold but I do not see it getting better. Good spot!

Fruit and spices dominate this. The alcohol gives a burning kick. Nice wine drinking smooth.

Nice to find a bargain, when Trace, in Austin's W Hotel is charging $120 for a Penner-Asch (spelling?) Pinot Noir. A little one note, but probably the best bargain on the wine list ( other than Gruet Sparkling Rose at $44!). Nice dried berries, chocolate, a hint of licorice. OTOH, the local Waterloo gin is a really nice floral gin. Lavender. Makes for a nice, if different, martini.

Med-tannic. High alcohol content isn't too noticeable with the strong spicy and peppery start. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Smells like nail polish, but opens out nicely. Very interesting taste profile. Hard to describe
