A bit muted on the nose but had a bit of zest that made for a good drink alongside shitty Chinese takeout.

Penedes makes cava with Xarel-lo from the same vineyard, which makes total sense tasting this wine because it tastes exactly like still Spanish cava. Big crushed rock thing going on, appley, not really my thing but well made.

Bitter almond flower, honeydew melon, saline, peanut shells, honeysuckle. Rounded acidity, mineral driven/slightly oily texture, light bodied, crisp slightly floral/touch of honey finish. Vouvray meets Alsace Pinot Blanc. Biodynamic 85% Xarel-lo, 15% Macabeu.
