Cecilia Beretta
Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

Trader Joe's, $20
Dark strong ruby color. Mellow ripe fruit with a slightly sweet licorice-like spice on the nose, very little astringency. Fairly typical appassimento type flavor, rich dried/jammy fruit, starts sweet then finishes with a bit of dry tannins. Has a slight savory sweetness beyond the fruit akin to vanilla or licorice. Quite enjoyable, worth the couple dollars over my usual budget.

Very pleasant Amarone. Soft, supple with enough acidity to keep it real. Good value.

Jammy, fruity and very good! Slight acidic/astringent notes towards the end of your palette.
