California Cabernet Sauvignon

Tried their second release from Caymus Vineyards, this wine is a California-appellation Cabernet Sauvignon, so grapes can come from anywhere in CA! Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe black fruits, smoky tobacco and pepper spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with herb, cacao, espresso and vanilla oak, after it opened up. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao, vanilla and earthy herbs. Drinkable now! Seems a bit pricey!

Herbaceous notes lead into dark berries, good tannin structure and pleasing, toasty finish.

I realize this is a Caymus, but not really Caymus. However, for $50-$60 bucks, I felt like I had Caymus. Big, juicy cab. Plum, raspberry, cherries. We enjoyed it with friends and a fireplace roaring in the background. Would’ve gone very well with a steak. Wish I could’ve aged it another 2-3 years.

Smooth and full of flavorful black and red fruit notes. No need to open up, wonderful from the very first sip.

Nice Cab that went well with our Ribeye and Wedge Salad. Deep ruby with aromas of dark cherry, plum, tobacco, and spices. On the bud, cherry and stewed fruits, flavors with mild tannins and a medium finish,
