Herbaceous notes lead into dark berries, good tannin structure and pleasing, toasty finish.

Sipping Fine Wine

Inaugural release from Caymus Vineyards, this wine is a California-appellation Cabernet Sauvignon, so grapes can come from anywhere in CA! Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe black fruits, smoky tobacco and pepper spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with herb, cacao, espresso and vanilla oak, after it opened up. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao, vanilla and earthy herbs. Drinkable now! Seems a bit pricey!

Red and dark berries inn the nose with blackberries and black plums in the palate. Paired excellent with a filet/gruyere sandwich

1 Liter - gift from neighbor, generous nose of stewed black & red fruit, cassis, bit of graphite - earthy fleshy raisins & prunes… bet they sourced some of the fruit from Lodi. Smooth suave mid palate - again, gobs of overripe fruit, but also felt the heat. Modest finish.

Great wine - Caymus used their name on a California blend but pleased with the wine but not quite a genuine Caymus.

Dark rich purple ruby color. Aromas of dark cherry and spices. On the bud, stewed fruit, plum, slight sweetness, and spicy. Medium finish, but smooth with little tannin bite. Not what u expect from a Napa Cabernet.
