Yesterday evening I opened the 2015 Cave Spring Estate Cabernet Franc Beamsville Bench Niagra Escarpment.

On the nose was cherry, strawberry, raspberry, mint and smokey oak.

The palate had notes of strawberry, raspberry, red currant, green bell pepper, herbs, cinnamon and smokey oak.

This wine is medium bodied with medium to + acidity and medium fine tannins that leads to a medium to long fruit finish. Not as impressed as the 2012 that I had awhile back. Enjoy the weekend and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Welcome to the weekend. On this Friday I have opened the 2012 Cave Spring Cabernet Franc from the Niagara Peninsula Ontario Canada.

On the nose is ripe strawberry, sweet plum, raspberry, green bell pepper, sweet oak and light smoke.

The palate has sweet strawberries, cherry, sweet raspberry, green bell pepper, vegetal notes and cassis.

I have a medium + acidity, medium + tannins with a full mouth feel and a nice long pleasing finish.

A very nice wine from the Niagara Peninsula that is very enjoyable.

Have a nice weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🖒

A #Niagara favorite. All the savory, inky, peppery cab franc things.

Cocoa powder, blackberry jam, and grippy-yet-smooth tannins. Fun stuff.

Plummy but restrained, fruity, totally in balance.
