100% Cab Franc from Loire, Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits with slight spicy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with tobacco and herb notes. Fine rustic tannins, medium finish ending with fruit and spice, although lacks the herb pop.

My first #saumurchampigny. I love Loire Valley #cabernetfranc - Enchanting aroma of violets, boysenberry jam and wet stone. Medium-rich body, dark fruit, leather and forest floor mid-palate with a specter of black pepper trailed by steady acidity and refined tannins on a long finish. ~$17 at Total Wine and more elegant than the Chinon I tried from there recently.
