Earthy, terroir nose. Opened nicely. Palette- enjoyable , long finish, medium tannins . After one hour, improved, earthiness is a nice change from Napa cabs. — 3 years ago
Extremely drinkable! Samur Cabernet Franc 2018 — 5 years ago
Got from new season about 12. Got that funkiness taste which I really like. Colin does not taste zig. Dark color. Deep flavor. Would buy again. — 6 years ago
Underripe cherry, tomato, pencil shaving, bell pepper, dusty cellar. Fairly lean on the palate with slightly underripe red fruit, tomato, and stong mineral finish reminscent of Flintstone vitamins. Med+ acid and tannins which are fairly course.
I love this style, but I understand how the tannins and green notes could be off-putting for some. A bit thin and lacking a bit of complexity to be outstanding, but still very enjoyable and a good value. — 3 years ago
Bread dough, lemon, with savory notes in the after nose. A lemon rind, high acid finish. Well structured and complex at a great price point. — 4 years ago

Cool simple bottle and label. A screw-top with class. Color is golden straw. Aromas of lemons and honey. Hint of freshly scrubbed flagstone patios. Flavors are lemon water, honeydew melon and jasmine tea. This is like all the good things in non-buttery Chardonnay mixed with the minerality and zing of Sauv Blanc. It’s fuller, denser and more elegant than most CA Chenin Blanc I’ve had. It’s also a white that seems to age nicely. If I could find it somewhere around here, it would join the short list for go to whites. — 14 days ago
