Rose pedals, tart tomatoes, red licorice, juniper, rosemary, strawberry, cranberry, clean, focused, and elegant. On the herbal side. Highly tannic but the tannins are already so fine.

Coffee? Red and purple fruit. Pretty aromatics. Cinnamon. Some carbonique?

Popped and poured; consumed over three days. No formal notes. Best on Day 3. I know there is some shade being thrown on the 2018 vintage in Piemonte but when Cavallotto is producing a Langhe Nebbiolo that’s this enjoyable, perhaps the vintage should be explored a little more. I found this to have really solid balance in fruit and structure. It was enjoyable on the pop and pour but fleshed out quite nicely over a few days. Charming, very charming.

Deliciously juicy muddled and leathery fruit, root beer, wilted flowers, earth. A traditional feeling Langhe Nebbiolo that has rustic charm and punches above its weight every time.

Dark cherries, earth. Lovely. Excellent food wine. With this value, buy by the case.

Arguably one of the best value Langhe Nebbiolo wines there is. Young vine and de-classified fruit from the estate vineyard of Bricco Boschis, traditional to the core, classic aromatic and structural components. Finding this 2014 just a touch hot on the palate though. Dust, tar, rose, cherry, herbs, and leather. There's a dusty/dried character to the wine that charms with its rustic appeal.

Remarkable Langhe Nebbiolo from Cavalotto that would outshine most Barolos in terms of quality. To young but there is no denying of its inherent quality. Classical in its approach with a high concentration of red slightly tart fruit, roses, smoke, spice and stones with a slight volatile finish. High acidity and gum coating tannins dominate the palate, strong mid palate and a long finish. An impressive invitation to Cavalottos arsenal. From younger vines in the Barolo zone, 20-35 days submerged cap maceration with 15-18 months in Slavonian casks.

Ripe yet wonderfully fresh red fruits. Loads of power for a Langhe Nebbiolo. Lacks a bit in the complexity department but make no mistake, this is a rocking good Langhe. Delicious.
