Castillo Perelada
Reserva Especial Cava Brut Macabeo-Xarel-lo-Parellada
It looks like mine is a minority opinion because everyone I've read or talked to loves this wine, but to me it is sickly sweet and honeyish, too close to a bland alcoholic soda pop.

Apr 22nd, 2017Quite good for a Cava, perhaps the best I have tasted. Excellent yeast on the nose and yeast and toast on the palate. Crisp but not acidic; well balanced. Only the best Champagnes are obviously better with the aromas and flavors one associates with those made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir rather than the Spanish grapes Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada as with this wine.

Mar 1st, 2016One of the best budget cavas out there. Smooth. Flavorful. Not overly acidic.
